Reversi is a two-player strategy board game played on an 8×8 board without chess. It was invented in 1883. The Othello, a variant with a fixed initial board configuration, was patented in 1971.

There are sixty-four identical game pieces called discs, which are light on one side and dark on the other. Players take turns placing disks on the board with their assigned color facing up. During a turn, any discs of the opponent's color that are in a straight line and bounded by the disc that just drummy gold - downloadable content to be placed and another disc of the current player's color are flipped to the current player's color. The aim of the game is to spin the most discs to display one's color when the last empty playable square is filled.
